In the mid-sixties he played with Albert Ayler, participating in Ayler’s ground-breaking albums including Ghosts and Spiritual Unity. During the same period he played and recorded with the Bill Evans Trio (with Paul Motian), and the Paul Bley Trio. Part of the iconic Keith Jarrett trio with Jack DeJohnette from its inception in 1983 until its break-up in 2014, Peacock recorded over 20 albums with the trio, including the legendary “Standards” series. Peacock and pianist Marc Copland have been playing together since the 1980’s including several recent Pirouet CDs. Peacock’s own groups have included such jazz masters as Bill Frisell, Ralph Towner, Jan Garbarek, and Tomasz Stanko.
