Multi-instrumentalist/composer Domenic Landolf (b. 1969 Bern, Switzerland) studied from 1998-1992 at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern under the Swiss saxophonist Andy Scherrer. He also plays in Scherrer’s sextet. Landorf is counted among the “Swiss jazz elite”. He has worked with Bill Holman, Joe Lovano und George Gruntz with the Generations Festival Big Band in Frauenfeld, Switzerland, Adrian Mears’ New Orleans Hard Bop, the Andy Scherrer Special Sextet featuring Bill Carrothers, and was a featured soloist at the Young Artists in Concert in Davos with the Collegium Novum under the direction of American composer Gunther Schuller. Landorf has recorded critically acclaimed trio and quartet CDs for Pirouet. He teaches saxophone at the Basel Music Academy.
