John schröder
Multi-instrumentalist John Schröder (b. 1964 Frankfurt on the Main, Germany) was a musical prodigy who has mastered four instruments. Best known as guitarist and drummer, Schröder is also an exceptional pianist and bassist. The list of musicians with whom Schröder has played and recorded is impressive: Chet Baker (My Favorite Songs – The Last Great Concert), Randy Brecker, Joe Lovano, Enrico Rava, and in longer projects with Roberto di Gioia and Peter Weniger, as well as with Rudi Mahall and Frank Möbus in the audacious trio Der Rote Bereich. On his Pirouet release Sir Lemuel’s Dance, Schröder concentrates exclusively on the piano.
